Paul and Raymond Lillet created this aperitif in 1887 south of Bordeaux. Lillet Rosé is a fruity aperitif, refined with orange liqueur. The fruits used for this aperitif come from Spain and Haiti. First they are cold macerated and then refined with a secret blend of red fruit liqueur. The liqueurs used are produced by the cellar master himself in Podensac. Even today, Lillet Rosé is mixed with a pinch of quinine according to the recipe of the Lillet brothers.
