Marsala Superiore Secco is a medium dry fortified wine. During the Concia (drying), the stage in the production process that defines the desired type of Marsala, alcohol and Mistella (a liqueur that gives this Marsala its roundness and smoothness) are added to the wine. The aging process then begins in open barrels, where the wine is exposed to air for many years, developing its characteristic oxidative bouquet.

Dry but smooth and well-rounded, this wine can be enjoyed throughout the meal, from start to nish: as an excellent aperitif together with mature, hard cheeses, Parmesan and dried fruit; and at the end of the meal with biscuit-like petits fours or tarts.
