In the X century BC, Phoenician shippers, crossing the Mediterrean sea - brought with them a special bread prepared with tomatoes and olive oil. Throughout the centuries, Friselline kept the characteristics that made this specialty the perfect food to consume during travels. In Apulia it is also known as the “Crusaders` bread” and, for many years, right in Putignano, the Knights Hospitaller of Malta had a crucial role in the government of our town.

The fragrancy of Friselline is great with preserves and sauces and will make special your aperitif, lunch or buffet. This variety made with corn.
