Cooking is a matter of study, passion, and creativity. Amalfi native Enrico Cosentino, a great chef and culinary maestro, invented scialatiello 40 years ago. A new form of handmade pasta, made from an original dough rich in eggs, cheese, milk, and a drizzle of olive oil.

La Molisana now offer this style in its range to pay homage to a great devotee and innovator of Italy's gastronomic tradition and to delight pasta lovers.

Made exclusively from 100% Italian durum wheat semolina, it offers a full-bodied texture and an inviting colour. La Molisana's scialatielli have a rectangular cross-section, similar to tagliatelle, but are thicker and more irregular. They are also incredibly firm and pair perfectly with succulent fish recipes or fragrant meat or vegetable ragùs.
