Some extra information

Sicily & Calabria 27 February 2020

The two regions are separated at its narrowest point, between Torre Faro and Villa San Giovanni, by 3.1 km (1.9 mi) of sea. Both regions have very similar climatic conditions, though the wines they produce are very different. Sicily’s most famous red grape variety is Nero d’Avola, usually used to produce big and bold red wines. In Calabria, red grape, Gaglioppo produces wine more similar to the Northern Nebbiolo grape. These two regions have improved the quality of their wines over the last 20 years and enjoy worldwide recognition. Come and join us to discover the exciting wines of these two regions.
