Amarone della Valpolicella 2016 Allegrini 75cl £69.00
A true classic of the Valpolicella Classico area. Deep and inky in the glass, this wine has imposing structure and depthm, as much in its aromas of mature fruit and spices, as on the palate, where the alcohol is sustained by the perfect degree of acidity and ripe tannins.
Bardolino Superiore Santa Lucia 2018 Cavalchina 75cl £15.99
The Santa Lucia is only made in the most special of vintages. The wine is aged in medium sized barrels for a minimum of eight months. Spices and cherries typical of Corvina and Rondinella blend with the colour and structure of Marzemino and the acidic backbone of Barbera; this results in a wine of multiple nuances which doesn’t shy away from well flavoured food.
Capitel Croce 2019 Anselmi 75cl £26.99
This wine is mostly Garganega grape with a touch of Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. It has been aged in oak barrels for one year. The nose is rich with dominant fruit flavours. The palate is dry with a creamy texture, admirable complexity well-balanced with tremendous length and finesse.
