Serre Susumaniello 2015 Cantine Due Palm

Wine of supposed Dalmatian origin, maybe its ephitat “Susumaniello” comes from “loaded as a donkey”, thanks to its peculiarity to be particularly productive in juvenile age. In its maturity stage, about 10 years after, its productivity reduces in a considerable way. Medium-size grapes, with a very velvety blue-coloured peel, that matures in the first half of September. Susumaniello grapes are rich in sugar, with a good acidity content, more than double of antociani contained in the Negroamaro and a high extracting index. Grapes are picked by hand and macerated into horizontal rotative thermoregulated tanks for about 14 days, where the wine complete its alcoholic fermentation at a temperature never exceeding 20°C. The wine is then transferred in barriques for 6 months, where the malolactic fermentation comes to the end.

Deep and dark ruby red colour, with blue reflections, its smell explode in red fruits notes, graphite and jam scents. A great structure wine, with a good balance between ripe fruits and mineral notes.
