Gambellara Classico Bianco 2019 Cantina Gambellara 75cl, £11.99 (Veneto)
Gambellara is a small denomination on the border between the provinces of Vicenza and Verona only a few miles east of Soave. The wine is made from 100% Garganega grapes which are grown on selected vineyards on the hills of the commune of Gambellara. All vineyards are at least 20 years old and their volcanic soils are derived from basalts, providing an abundance of minerals that allow grapes to ripen fully and develop aromatic richness.

Cantina Tramin was founded in 1898 and has 310 member winegrowers who follow its strict directives on the cultivation of the vines. The vineyards are an integral part of the enchanting and picturesque landscape of the Alto-Adige.
This is an intense and complex wine, elegant perfumes mix with aromas of tropical fruit, notes of spice and a layer of minerality, accompanied by the characteristic scent of roses. Creamy with a balancing acidity and a deliciously long finish.
Stoan Alto Adige 2018 Tramin 75cl, £27.49 (Alto Adige)
A brilliantly made blend of Gewurtztraminer, Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Bianco and Chardonnay. Capturing all the freshness and aromas of grapes grown on the high mountain side vineyards.
It is sumptuous and complex wine with aromas of peach, pear, elderflower and floral notes of jasmine. This is elegant and spicy with a rich, full bodied palate of pineapple, pear and mineral undertones. Long and creamy on the finish.
Pinot Nero 2019 Sacchetto 75cl, £12.49 (Veneto)
The grapes for this wine were de-stemmed before pressing to minimise the levels of tannins. It is fermented at a low temperature to retain acidity and freshness. The wine is kept in tanks until bottled, preserving the natural fruity characteristics of Pinot Noir.
This is a ripe and juicy Pinot Noir from Veneto with fresh, red-berried fruit and wonderfully soft on the palate. A perfect easy-drinking style of Pinot Noir, smooth on the palate with a refreshing finish.
Lagrein Alto Adige 2019 Tramin 75cl, £15.79 (Alto Adige)
Made from an indigenous grape variety from the Alto Adige. The wine boasts a beautiful bouquet of violets and blackberries with hints of cherries and subtle earthy notes. Velvety textured on the palate with raspberry, dark cherry, dark chocolate, liquorice and spice underpinned by a powerful structure and a long finish.
Refosco dal Peduncolo Rosso 2016 Specogna, £22.99 (Friuli Venezia-Giulia)
Refosco is an ancient dark skinned grape variety from Friuli Venezia Giulia with a youthful ruby red colour and spicy, brambly perfume on the nose giving way to rounded ripe fruit on the palate. Refosco produces rich, rounded wines, well-structured to support the juicy, blackberry fruit character.
