Lugana DOC 2019 'L Lac, Lombardia £14.99
The area where Lugana is produced is a very picturesque wine zone for white wines in north-eastern Italy. The vineyard lies on the border between Lombardia and Veneto and is located at the southern end of Lake Garda. The vineyards complement the scenery and landscape of the fishing villages and castle-covered towns. Made from 100% Turbiana, also known as Trebbiano di Lugana, which is the same grape variety as Verdicchio in Marche region, but develops differently here. A citrus toned nose with a touch of green peppers, balanced by a well structed palate, good minerality and long finish.
Gavi di Gavi Carmelitani 2019, Piemonte £16.99
This is a stunning example of the iconic Gavi di Gavi DOCG due to its proximity with mountainous Liguria; its winemaking and gastronomic traditions are more Ligurian than Piemontese. This is a light style of white wine made from 100% Cortese grapes. It is fresh and fruity with scents of white flowers and a pleasant, though quite dry palate. Rich and balanced, this elegant white is soft and round with good structure.
Fiano Pietramara 2018 I Favati, Campania £19.99

The palate is fresh and mineral, with hints of aromatic herbs such as oregano and mint, with excellent length.
Chianti Classico 2018 Paneretta, Toscana £17.99
From the rolling hills of Tuscany one of our favourite Chianti classicos, the Castello della Paneretta. It is made mainly using Sangiovese grapes with a small percentage of two other traditional Tuscan varieties, Canaiolo and Colorino. Most of the grapes are sourced from old vines whose grapes give great structure and complexity to the wine. It has intense aromas of ripe cherries and perfumes of violets with hints of vanilla. The palate is full bodied, and the flavours are lifted by a refreshing acidity. Smooth tannins and a complex palate make it one of the most delicious Chiantis in our range.
Carignano Grotta Rossa 2017 Santadi, Sardegna £14.99
The Santadi co-operative winery and vineyards are located in Sulcis, a south-western area of Sardinia, a few kilometres from the beautiful beaches and white dunes of Porto Pino. The wine is 100% Carignano grapes and it has a mature, gamey nose - almost Pinot Noir in style but the palate is fuller and definitely serious. Delicate violet notes on the nose followed by attractive, violet fruit. Delicately made. Toffee smells on the nose and a pleasant palate with slightly ageing fruit and interesting flavour of mushroom on the finish. Complex, deep and delicious blend of tarry blackcurrant fruit with underlying richness of dried fig.
Nero D'Avola Lumá 2018 Fantini, Sicilia £16.99

The area is not very far from the south coast of the island and is characterized by one of the most picturesque lakes of the region, the Lago Arancio. This is a rich and complex Nero D’Avola from the area around the town of Sambuca. A wine with a strong personality and an intense and harmonic character. After maceration and fermentation, the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for at least six months. It is rich, full of black cherries, plums and redcurrants, all accompanied by elegant spice and some delicate oak flavours and combines well with the local rich and spicy cuisine.
