Valvona & Crolla

was launched in 2004 to celebrate the 70th anniversary of iconic family run Italian Delicatessen and Wine Emporium, Valvona & Crolla. The Ground Floor Caffè is reminiscent of classic Milan with marble floors, glass mosaics and beautiful counters full of tempting sweet and savoury dishes to enjoy at the bar, or to eat on the go. The Multrees Walk piazza is one of Edinburgh’s few pedestrian thoroughfares. The outdoor seating is perfect for sipping Prosecco and classic Italian cocktails, and watching the world go by on Edinburgh’s most exclusive shopping street. The First Floor Ristorante offers timeless elegance with rich walnut surrounds. The menu is created by Mary Contini, acclaimed cookery author and journalist. Our fresh ingredients are supplied by the best growers, producers, farmers and fishers in Scotland. Selected vegetables and artisan cured meats and cheeses arrive weekly from Italy.

Our Wine List is selected by Philip Contini, grandson of founder Alfonso Crolla, from his award-winning range in Valvona & Crolla. The Cruvinet wine preserving system allows us to sell over 50 wines by the glass, including Flaccianello (voted one of the top ten best wines in the world). Enjoy half bottles of stunning Brunello, Chianti Classico as well as the best selection of Amarone in Scotland. Our unique position allows us to offer an incredible selection of wines at retail prices plus corkage making our list exceptional value.

How to find us
VinCaffè is on Multrees Walk next to St Andrew's Square in central Edinburgh, just ten minutes walk from the original Valvona & Crolla shop.
